Nickie is one of our Atherton Tablelands members and looks after a variety of species. She comments that one of her most favourite charges was Hughie the Wallaroo. Wallaroo's are famous for having their own VERY individual personalities!

Jane recently took in two orphaned kookaburra nestlings after their tree was cut down. Jane is a very experienced bird carer and has been doing a fantastic job for years, She was nominated as FNQWR's "Carer of the Year" for 2008.
